Alpha Driving School has been established since 1992. Danny Pinzone is founder and director of Alpha Driving School of South Australia. We cover the inner Adelaide metropolitan area, with its office and base in Croydon Park. Our title... "Alpha" comes from the Greek term "Alpha and Omega", which is a Biblical term meaning..."The First" and "The Last." Our Statement is that Alpha Driving School is: ![]() Danny Pinzone has been involved in The Driver Training Industry since February 1990. Danny began taxi driving at 22 years of age, prior to obtaining a Drivers Instructors Licence. With the added experience in restaurant and waiting duties, he believes that this history in customer relations and service is able to now provide quality driver training and education. Holding an unconditional Drivers Licence since 1978, 5 years later in 1983 obtained his Taxi Accreditation Licence, and in October 1989 obtained his Motor Vehicle Driving Instructors Licence (MVDI). Has also been contracted as a Testing Examiner for 5 years. So as a professional driver and motorist in the Adelaide metropolitan area, believes that driver training instructions is where his services in the community are most needed. Alpha Driving School can assist in that very first nervous lesson to the preparation for the Practical Driving Test or Vehicle On Road Test (VORT). The other option is to undertake the Competency Based Training course, (CBT), previously known as Log Book training. We can also help with some refresher lessons, for medical assessments on Class Car re-licensing, or re-gaining your licence. Where to start:A Learners permit can be obtained after the age of 16 yrs in South Australia. A theory test based on The Drivers Handbook (7th Edition) are held at any Transport SA Customer Service Centres between 9am and 4.15pm, Monday - Friday. Once studying The Drivers Handbook a trial theory test is available online at www.raa.net to practice, prior to attending Transport SA with identification (eg birth certificate) to undertake the Theory Test. DID YOU KNOW...That it takes three times as much brian-power to drive a motor car in traffic as it does to fly a light plane, even on landing??? Yet aircraft pilots undergo much stricter training before being allowed to fly solo, have regular tests and must follow stringent rules and restrictions throughout their flying career!!! They are even told when and where they can fly by air traffic controllers!!! Is this why flying is one of the safest ways to travel??? ![]() |
